At Elektro Grossmann, founded in 1969 by Rudolf and Marianne Grossmann, you can find almost everything related to lighting. For 21 years, the business has been run by their daughter Ruth Grossmann, and that’s not the only thing that has changed since its founding.

The motivated team of women carries new brands and new designs, placing particular emphasis on beautiful household goods, lighting and lamps. Especially new LED technology has brought about significant changes. The expert consultation at Elektro Grossmann will shed light on the dark for you.

Enoteca Italia has been located at Hofstettenstrasse 15 since 2002. The Italian wine shop, owned by Sicilian Vito Licari, offers a comprehensive range of wines as well as many other Italian specialities.

The small establishment attracts customers with its southern charm, and Vito Licari’s team is delighted to spoil Thun’s clientele – whether with a good glass of wine, a hearty portion of pasta or a slice of sweet panettone.

Since the first public film screening in 1895 by the Lumière brothers, film has held a fascination for audiences. Today, the term «Kino» (engl. cinema) refers to the institution of the film theatre and the experience of watching films together.

The Marti family has been running the cinemas in Thun since 1948, keeping up with all the latest developments in cinema technology, particularly over the last 15 years. In 2005, siblings Nadia Bähler-Marti and Alain Marti took over the management. Every year, they screen more than 300 films in the auditoriums of the Kino Rex cinema.

Over seven years ago, Mirja Mira Binzegger took over the MiraTee tea shop at Freienhofgasse 2. The trained florist was already well established in her career at the time, but today her life revolves around tea.

Her botanical knowledge and the creativity she gained from her previous job still stand her in good stead when working with herbs and tea leaves. With the help of her family, she passionately passes on her love of tea drinking.

Especially in the cold, grey season, Mirja Mira Binzegger’s shop offers something warming for all tastes and every mood – because tea is as versatile as it is personal.
