A Million Stars

Since 2005, Caritas has been running its «One Million Stars» campaign in Switzerland to raise awareness for people living in poverty, who make up around 9% of the population.

Over 100 places in Switzerland take part in this solidarity event, transforming their town squares into a sea of lights. In Thun, many volunteers will once again decorate the Rathausplatz on December 13. The event is organised together with the Roman Catholic parish of Thun.

All proceeds from the sale of candles and donations go directly to Caritas projects. Immerse yourself in the magic of candlelight and experience the sparkle of «One Million Stars» on the Rathausplatz – and do some good at the same time.
