For mother and daughter, it is important to make everything from scratch themselves. Hence, they do not buy blanks, but cast and forge them themselves. Instead of lasers and ­machines, there are many hand tools in the Silberschmiede. With fire, hammer, and anvil, exciting and delicate creations of their own are made. You can see this for yourself on site, as the elegant store also houses the atelier.

As if that were not special enough, the Silberschmiede stands out with one particular service: the remodeling of old pieces of jewellery. Are you in ­possession of an heirloom that holds high emotional value but does not suit your taste? In the Silberschmiede, a customized bijou is created from it. For their creations, Yvonne Schediwy and Sara Lehmann draw inspiration from their travels around the world. In the destinations they travel to, they buy the raw materials on site, and back in Thun, they create thematically oriented collections. This will also  be the case in 2024: the silversmithy’s 30th anniversary will be celebrated with an anniversary collection – you can look forward to it!
