On the water, in the water

Wave surfing without the sea? No problem! You don’t have to wait for the perfect wave: the boat creates a virtually infinite wave. Wakesurfing is slower, as soon as the board is in motion, you let go of the rope. With wakeboarding, on the other hand, you let yourself be pulled behind the boat at higher speeds. For all daredevils, the path leads towards the river. Those who find rubber boats on the Aare too boring can try river rafting. The Lütschine and Simme near Interlaken offer exciting adventures. An experienced guide is always on board. If you want to explore more remote gorges, canyoning is just the thing for you. Swim in hidden pools or abseil over rocks – here you can explore the wild
nature.

A dip in the lake, a feeling
like being by the sea

If you want to take it a little easier, you can explore the underwater world of Thun. You don't need the sea for this – there’s plenty to discover in Switzerland too. Whether sulphur springs, aquatic plants, moss animals or fish such as perch – here you can see the lake from a different perspective. Diving is not just a summer sport: winter brings even clearer visibility. In addition to excursions and training, the diving clubs also offer taster courses. Lake Thun has a number of unusual water sports events to offer. Some of them only just fall into this category – such as the Lake Jump at Hünegg lido. Here, everything revolves round the question: who is the coolest person to jump into the lake? With all kinds of means of transportation, the participants jump over an eight-meter-high ramp into the cool water. The audience is also entertained by live music and refreshing drinks – an experience for the whole family.
